Invite them from the record they already sit on

The kind chosen at creation decides where the invitations come from. For a stockist portal that is the customer account. For the public there is no record to invite from, and the screen says so.

Invented: Atlantica, Marisol’s Beachwear and Hacienda Textiles are made up, and so is everyone in them.

Who from Marisol’s Beachwear?

These are the people already on that account. Nobody is typed in twice.

Before you send

Marisol gets an email from Atlantica — your name on it, not ours. She picks her own password; you never see it and you never set it. She lands on the welcome you just wrote, and the first thing she is offered is this season’s line sheet.

The other case A portal with no records behind it

A retail-customer portal has nobody to invite, because the public are not on an account. That portal opens with a way in instead of a list — they register what they bought, and the record is made at that moment. Same machine, different door.

Not built Inviting people is Phase 2 No email is sent from here. The control below walks you into what Marisol would see, so the invitation can be argued with before it is written — and nothing leaves the building. The phases in order.
