What this site collects

Short, because there is not much of it. Two halves, both below. The account — what is kept if you create one at app.bisbe.xyz, which is the other side of the sign-in door and is covered here because that is the policy you agree to when you create it. The site — two measurements on these pages, the page you opened and a search of the manual that found nothing, and everything in that half is checkable in the scripts this site loads.

When you create an account

Signing in happens at app.bisbe.xyz — a different address from this site, and this is the part of the notice that covers it. What the account holds:

• your name — the sign-up form asks for it;
• your email address — it is how you sign in, and it is where an invitation would arrive if one comes;
• your password — stored securely by our authentication provider;
• what you say you would use Bisbe for, if you answer that question — kept against your account, and read by a person here.

The sign-up form also asks you to confirm you are 18 or older.

Creating an account opens nothing by itself. Bisbe is in early access and opens one firm at a time, by invitation. Without one, an account is a way to say what you would use it for and nothing more, and there is no date on it.

A sign-in cookie, set by our authentication provider so the app knows you are still signed in from one page to the next. It belongs to app.bisbe.xyz and is not readable on this site; signing out ends it.

Opening the sign-in page is recorded the same way a page on this site is — which page, when, and where you came from if your browser tells us, together with whether the request looked like a search engine rather than a person.

We do not sell any of it, we do not pass it to anybody else for their own purposes, and we do not train AI models on it. If you want your account and everything attached to it deleted — or you want to know what is held, or a copy of it — ask at hello@bisbe.xyz and a person answers you.

When you read a page

We record that the page was opened. Three things go with it, and this is the whole list:

• which site it was — the word “bisbe”;
• which page — the path, like /b-os/demo;
• where you came from, if your browser tells us — a search engine, a link on another site.

No identifier of any kind. We do not set a cookie, we do not read one, and we do not create or store a number that would let us recognise you on your next visit. That is a deliberate choice with a real cost: it means we can count visits but not visitors, and we cannot tell one person reading five pages from five people reading one. We would rather have the smaller, honest number.

When you search the manual

The help pages have a search box. The whole manual arrives with the page, so the searching itself happens inside your browser and nothing is sent anywhere while you type. If your search finds a page, nothing is recorded at all.

If your search finds nothing, we record it — and only once you have stopped typing, so the half-words on the way to your question are not kept. Two things go with it, and this is the whole list:

• the words you typed — up to 120 characters of them;
• which page you searched from.

Nothing about who typed them. No name, no account, no cookie, no identifier of any kind — the same as above and for the same reason. We cannot tell one person's failed searches from another's, and we would rather not be able to.

It is kept for one purpose, and it is the reason we ask you to accept it: a question the manual cannot answer is a page we have not written yet, and this is the only way we find out which one. If you would rather not be part of that, turning JavaScript off removes the search box entirely and the pages still read in full.

When you use the contact form

What you type is sent to us as an email: your message, your email address so we can reply, and your name if you gave one. It is read by a person and answered by a person.

It is not added to a mailing list, put into a sequence, passed to anybody else, or used to send you anything you did not ask for. If you want it deleted, ask in a reply and it is deleted.

The demo

The read-only demo is a folder of ordinary pages with no service behind them. There is nothing to sign into and nothing you do there is recorded beyond the page-view count above — because there is nothing there that can record anything.

The business it shows — Atlantica — is invented. No real company, brand or person appears anywhere in it.

Nothing else

No advertising network, no analytics product, no session recorder, no heat map, no tracking pixel, no “data partners”. The page-view count and the failed searches described above are the only two measurements on this site, and both are written to our own store rather than sold or shared.

Your browser fetches nothing from anywhere else

Every file a page here needs comes from this site, including the three typefaces the pages are set in. There is no request to any other company when you open a page.

This section used to say something different, and the change is worth recording. Until 13 August 2026 the typefaces were asked for from fonts.googleapis.com, which told Google your network address every time a page opened. Nothing ever came back to us from it — no identifier, no count, no record that you were here — but it was still a request you never agreed to, on a page headed “nothing else”. The files are now served from here and that request is gone.
