Wiring · Rooms
Nothing outside — it does not read your Slack or your Teams. Rooms shows the channels your own team talks in here.
What this door talks to
Nothing outside. It reads the same messages your team already posts here, grouped into the rooms you are in.
What it keeps about you
Your team's channels, the messages in them, and which ones you have not read yet.
Who can see it
Only the business the records belong to can see them, and the database is what stops anyone else — not a check somebody could forget.
And within your business, only the rooms you are actually in.
Can anything outside reach it
No. Nothing outside reaches your channels, and your own assistant cannot read them either.
What is not built
Reading the chat your team already uses, and your channels in the download. Take your world out as files and the rooms are not in it.
- Bringing in the chat you already useRooms is its own place. It does not read your Slack, your Teams or your WhatsApp, and there is no way to point it at one. So a team that already talks somewhere else is talking in two places, and that is worth knowing before anybody moves. Bringing that chat in is coming soon, with no date on it until it is real.
- Your channels in the downloadThe download covers the manual and the conversations about it. Rooms reads a different store, and saying otherwise would mean somebody backs up a world without their rooms in it.
For developers
Nothing here is callable from outside. Its specification, and what to read next.
Nothing here is a public API today. One thing is genuinely open: the connector.
